Outdoor Recreation

Love the outdoors? Looking for something other than the traditional sports league? Outdoor Recreation may be just what your looking for. Each semester we offer a one-day bus trip to New York City for students and staff to enjoy. Take this opportunity to visit the city without a pre-determined itinerary and for a reasonable cost.

New for winter 2008-2009, Outdoor Recreation will be co-sponsoring a week –long ski/snowboarding trip to Quebec, Canada with George Washington Univesity and several other major universities along the mid-atlantic. This trip is a perfect way to spend your winter break. Grab some friends and prepare to hit the slopes.

If Quebec seems too cold, grab a bike and start peddling. Each summer Outdoor Recreation offers a four-day biking/camping trip along the C&O Canal Trail from Cumberland, MD to Eashington D.C. Spend the afternoons on a leisure ride along the beautiful C&O Trail and the evenings camping under the stars. Space for all trips is limited.

Planning a trip of your own and need to rent some equipment? Outdoor Recreation offers many different options for equipment rental. Checkout the list of equipment available online for students and staff to rent, some fees may apply. Please call in advance to check equipment availability or make your reservation.
