Field House (RSC)

The George Mason University Recreational Sports Complex, better known as the Field House, is one of four fitness facilities located on Mason’s Fairfax Campus. The Field House is used primarily by GMU’s varsity athletic teams, but is also available for use by currents students, GMU employees, and members of the surrounding community who purchase a membership.

The interior of the Field House includes a 200 meter rubber-particle track which encircles a laminate covered multi-purpose court space. This space can be separated by drop-down nets into four multipurpose courts. These courts may be used for a variety of sports/activities including basketball, indoor soccer, and running. The Field House also houses several full-wall (no transparent walls) racquetball courts and a strength training room.

Outside the Field House is the GMU stadium which houses a 400 meter rubber-particle track encircling the soccer/lacrosse game field. While the track may be used by students, employees, and Field House members, the soccer/lacrosse field is restricted to varsity team and special event use only.

IMPORTANT - The Field House’s operational hours change periodically and the indoor space is often reserved by varsity athletic teams. It is highly recommended that anyone interested in using the Field House check the online schedule and/or call the Customer Service Desk prior to visiting the facility.
